VirdimPrivacy policy
In short: Virdim has no account and no server. Your dhikr counts, favourites, daily-wird records, custom dhikr and preferences are stored only on your iPhone. We never see them, sell them or share them. The only thing collected is anonymous usage statistics.
What stays on your phone
Everything you create in Virdim (dhikr counts and daily totals, tasbih count, the selected dhikr, custom dhikr, favourites, daily wird and streak, card template and personal name, language preference) is stored in the app's own storage and in the app group so that widgets can read it. Nothing is sent to us or to any server. Deleting the app deletes it.
Content
Verses, prayers, hadiths, the 99 names and religious days are bundled in the app; no internet connection is needed and what you read is not recorded. Texts come from public-domain sources and are credited in the app's Sources screen.
Notifications
Friday-morning and religious-day reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No notification content goes to any server. Permission is asked only when you first view a card; you can turn it off in iOS Settings.
Widgets, Live Activity and Shortcuts
Lock screen and Home Screen widgets, the Live Activity in the Dynamic Island, the Control Center control and the Action Button read the same local data. The "Verse of the day image" Shortcuts action renders the image on your phone.
Photos
To save a wallpaper, Virdim asks for add-only access to Photos; it never reads your photos.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which features are used and to fix problems, Virdim sends anonymous usage events to TelemetryDeck (for example "app opened", "card shared", "paywall shown") together with technical details such as device and OS version. The user identifier is hashed on the device; your name, email, location or what you read are never sent. This data is not used for advertising or tracking and is not linked to your identity. It is declared in the App Store privacy label as "Device ID" and "Product Interaction", not linked to you, not used for tracking.
Purchases
Virdim Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. Your purchase status is stored by Apple and read by the app to unlock Plus features.
Cards you share
Cards and wallpapers are rendered on your phone and go only to the apps or people you choose in the share sheet. Once shared, they are outside Virdim's control.
Children
Virdim is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data, requests to access, correct or delete are fulfilled by deleting your app data (removing the app). Anonymous statistics cannot be linked to you. Questions: [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date is updated and the new version is published on this page.
